Background of company:
Muscoreil’s Fine Desserts, Inc. was
refounded in 1990 by David Muscoreil and in 1995; Ernest Ramstetter joined
forces in building an upscale Fine Dessert Company. Muscoreil’s was originated
in the twenties by Felicia Muscoreil, David’s Grandmother. Muscoreils was well
known for not only the home made baked goods, but also for its delicious menu of
Italian foods. Felicia Muscoreil, closed the business when her age made it to
difficult to operate the business any longer. At a very young age, David aspired
to reopen the business in the same name in honor of his grandmother’s efforts.
As a young boy David had spent a lot of time in the restaurant helping out,
making sauces, preparing cookies and looking on in awe while grandma prepared
incredible desserts and cakes. This was his inspiration and the motivation later
in life to rebuild the Muscoreil family legacy of famous desserts and foods.
The idea was to offer high quality,
fresh products to customers in an upscale environment. Since 1990, the company
has more than 20 times grown in size. We are now employing over 35 people. The
company’s specialties include wedding cakes and cakes for special occasions,
Italian cookies as well as traditional cookies, pastries, chocolates, gift
baskets and party favors. We now have expanded our operation to offer fresh
soups, sandwiches, wraps and specialty salads to our customers in our Bistro.
Originally a 1,000 square foot
operation, David and Ernest realized that if they were going to continue in the
business, they would have to expand in order to accommodate the demand for
products by the public. Lines would form outside of their original location at
441 Payne Ave. around holidays, and they would span an entire city block.
Customers didn’t seem to mind standing outside and waiting for the opportunity
to purchase baked goods in the cold winter weather.
David and Ernest knew that even though
customers were patient with their small operations capabilities, an expansion
would greatly enable them to do more and accommodate the demand for products by
customers. In 1999 Muscoreil’s expanded to a 4,000 square foot facility. Again
the name and demand had grown and again Muscoreils was faced with an inability
to accommodate the demand for products from both the public and private sectors.
Recently Muscoreils has had the
opportunity to Expand once again , This time Purchasing their own state of the
art facility located on Niagara Falls Blvd. just minutes from practically
anywhere in the Buffalo Niagara region. The new facility spanning 10,000 square
feet and set on over 4 acres of land, has truly developed into a “Slice of
Heaven” raved the Buffalo News, and was given excellent food ratings as
critiqued. The review went on to say that Muscoreils is “Truly one of the
regions most artistic culinary treasures”. The bakery was given 3 and ˝
stars out of a possible 4 stars, losing a half star because the parking lot was
unfinished and because the hours were not long enough for our lunches in the
Bistro. (We serve lunch from 11am to 4 pm.)
Don’t take our word for it though, come on in and see for
yourself why people say “MMMMMMMMMMMM.....Muscoreils!”
Or
“Give
me one of everything please!”
